Eva (Chava) was a younger sister of my paternal Grandmother Fanny Gaum. They came from a family of 10 children. Eva was born in Belarus as were all of the other siblings. She was the youngest daughter and was more modern that her sisters Fanny and Belka (see Konick). She wore lipstick to the dismay of her sisters, and God forbid, even went to see movies at the Vogue and Paramount theatres in Sydney. She was married to Israel Perlin and ran a small variety store in Sydney on George Street. She had children Arthur, Irving and Shirley.
